Day 1: Arrive by Finnair to Helsinki – Night Ferry (Cruise liner) to Stockholm

Namaste and very much Welcome to Finland “The Country of Thousand lakes”.

Your Scandinavian escort will transfer you to the Helsinki harbor for a relaxing cruise between the two capitals of Finland and Sweden; Helsinki and Stockholm. Onboard ships there are a wide range of onboard activities.

Visit the restaurants and bars onboard and enjoy the spectacular scenery of the famous archipelago of Stockholm and the Åland Islands. You can always find good offers in the duty free shop within the assortment of well known brands.

You can for also relax with a spa treatment and simply just enjoy the atmosphere and music in the nightclub. When you reach your destination Stockholm you will have a full day to explore the beautiful city.

Day 2: Stockholm — The Capital of Scandinavia

There are many reasons why Stockholm is the natural “capital of Scandinavia”. One is that Stockholm lies at the heart of the region, with world-class communications. Another is the fact that Stockholm is the largest city in the largest country in Scandinavia.

People come here for the food, the design, historical sights and the music. Experience the Stockholm of today on our most comprehensive tour including sightseeing by bus and boat. Enjoy a comprehensive bus tour that offers amazing views.

Stockholm is the capital of Sweden. Strikingly pretty, it is arguably one of the most beautiful capital cities in the world. The city is made up of 14 islands connected by some 50 bridges on Lake Mälaren, which flows into the Baltic Sea and passes an archipelago with some 24 000 islands and islets.

The city’s a very lively, cosmopolitan place with both modern Scandinavian architecture including lots of brass and steel, along with fairy tale towers, a captivating Old Town (Gamla Stan) and lots of green space.

Over 30% of the city area is made up of waterways and another 30% is made up of parks and green spaces, giving Stockholm perhaps the freshest air and widest lungs of any European capital. Stockholm also has a unique range of galleries and museums, and finds itself in the global spotlight each year when the Nobel Prize is awarded.

DAY 03: Stockholm – Strängnäs

Today you are going by train to the small town Strängnäs, the train takes about 50 minutes. You will experience the charming small own atmosphere by Lake Mälaren. The town date back to the Viking Age with the well known cathedral where Gustav Vasa was elected king of Sweden 6 June 1523.

Moose – The impressive moose is known as the king of the forest. In early 20th century the moose were almost wiped out, but now there are plenty of them in the forest of Sweden.

The wildlife of Sweden includes the diverse flora and fauna. The country has a long coastline and the habitats include mountains, hills, tundras, Overnight at hotel in Strängnäs

Gripsholm Castle, Mälsåker Castle and Strängnäs Cathedral offer an insight into Swedish history. The countryside around Åkers Styckebruk is a magnet for outdoor enthusiasts, with the Sörmland trail and canoeing in the lake system of Marvikarna.

The Pilgrim trail on the Fogdön peninsula, which joins the Gyllenhjelm trail from Eskilstuna, is popular with walkers and cyclists alike, and the island of Selaön boasts remains from the Viking Age as well as several cycle-ways.

Take time for the picturesque town centres of Strängnäs and Mariefred. With Lake Mälaren at their heart, there is always lots of going on along the promenades – don’t miss the mix of attractive small shops, and inviting cafés and restaurants.

DAY 04: Strängnäs – Oxelösund – Strängnäs

Early morning drive (02 hrs) to the Baltic Sea coast and the small town where Oxelösund and its archipelago offers excellent fishing. The boat trip from Oxelösund goes with M/S Fiskeskär which is an old fishing boat which was the largest fishing boat on the Sörmland coast in Sweden.

DAY 05: Strängnäs – Mariefred – Stockholm

Transfer to Dubai Mall for Visit impressive Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world. It offers an unparalleled retail mix combined with world-class dining, entertainment and leisure attractions. The Fashion Avenue, the precinct dedicated to high fashion now expanded, positions The Dubai Mall as the fashion capital for the Middle East.

Mariefred- Sweet, picturesque small town with plenty of history, just over a half hour by car from Strängnäs, the town is built around the majestic Gripsholm Castle. Here you can take an historical journey with authentic steam trains which are approximately 100 years of age. The beautiful surroundings of the picturesque town Mariefred invite to lovely walks. There is much to look at while in Mariefred. You are close to historic settings like Gripsholm Castle, the church from 1624, and the railway station with its turrets and towers. You will also find a museum railway with old-fashioned steam train that still operates.

At 4.30PM we leave Mariefred to cruise across Lake Mälaren to Stockholm by steamboat s/s Mariefred.

S/S Mariefred started to serve these waters back in 1903. Since then, she has served these waters under the same name, with few changes on board and still using the same steam engine from those early days. In addition, the same shipping company, “Gripsholms-Mariefreds Ångfartygs AB” has been running since 1905, and is the oldest shipping company operating on Lake Mälaren and the Stockholm archipelago. DAY 06: Stockholm

Full day with sightseeing of Stockholm. By walk, by sightseeing boat and by bus there is a lot to explore in the capital of Sweden (the city was founded in 1252).

Transfer to Stockholm Arlanda International Airport.
