DAY 01: ARRIVE DELHI

DAY 02: DELHI – CHANDIGARH (260 KMS/6 HRS)
Morning drive to Chandigarh and Check in at your hotel. The city of Chandigarh is situated at the base of the Shiwalik Range of the Himalayas, at 333m above sea level, New Delhi. The site is a gently sloping plain, with two seasonal rivulets – Patiali-ki-Rao and Sukhna Choe -marking its northwest and southeast boundaries. The city forms the urban core of the “Union Territory of Chandigarh”, which has a total area of 114 sq km. P.M. City tour of Chandigarh. The Rock Garden nowadays symbolizes Chandigarh that is created by a humble road inspector called Nek Chand. He turned urban waste material into creative patterns and textures and transformed mute rocks into art objects. DAY 03: CHANDIGARH – SHIMLA (4-5HRS DRIVE)
After breakfast drive for Shimla and check into hotel. Shimla- The capital of modern India’s mountainous State of Himachal Pradesh is known as the queen of India’s hill stations. Set at an elevation of 2213m in the pine-forested Shivalik Hills, this was once the summer capital of the British administration in India from 1864 to 1939. DAY 04: SHIMLA
Excursion of Chail & Kufri: – Chail is located in the state of Himachal Pradesh. It is a small hamlet with natural setting free from fast life, pollution and concrete jungles. Kufri is a beautiful hill station located near Shimla. Kufri is popular for its trekking trails and hiking. Many tourists extend their tour to Shimla and visit Kufri. DAY 05: SHIMLA-MANALI
Morning drive for Manali, arrive and check into hotel. Manali is the Northern end of the Kullu Valley and is the main resort in the area. It is beautifully situated and there are many pleasant walks around the town. Surrounded by towering peaks at arm length, Manali’s major asset is its proximity to the snowline, never more than few hours’ drive from the town nestling at comfortable 2050meters. It is the centre of the flourishing orchard industry a popular honeymoon destination and trailhead for numerous treks. After relaxing in the hotel, visit the Hadimba temple amidst the Deodar trees and other places of interests. DAY 06: MANALI
Morning visit Solang valley and check-in at your camp. Popularly known as Snow point, is 13 km northwest of Manali and famous for its 300-meter ski lift. It is a picturesque spot and offers splendid views of glaciers and snow-capped mountains. Rest of day at leisureRelax & retrieve.

DAY 07: MANALI – KEYLONG
We start early from Solang Valley Camp and after crossing the 13,050 ft high Rohtang Passenters the valley of Lahaul. Our drive is along the River Chandra with views of towering mountains and glaciers. By late noon arrive at Keylong a small town, which is also the district headquarters and check into camps. Day at leisure and walk around this quaint little town with excellent views of the Pir Panjal range of mountains. Relax & retrieve at your camp.

DAY 08: KEYLONG – SARCHU
Drive north on the Manali-Leh Highway. You get to see some of the most breath taking landscapes that the Western Himalayas can offer. The scenery gets more stark and barren as we climb up to the 16,500-foot high Baralacha La the second mountain passes on our journey. From the pass beautiful views of meadows and snow-capped mountains can be seen. By early evening we reach the small hamlet of Sarchu and check-in at camp. Relax & retrieve.

DAY 09: SARCHU – TSOKAR (4268M/165 KMS) -TSO-MORIRII (4485M/45KMS)
After breakfast drive to Tso Kar (Kar Lake), It is a day where we will cross a number of passes the first of which already being passed Bara Lacha La (4955M above sea level). After coming down from Bara Lacha La climb up the Gatta Loops, a series of 21 hairpin bends carved into the mountainside and then after descending once again wound your way up the Lachung La pass (4985M above sea level). From here the road twists its way to Pang through an amazing canyon with sheer cliffs and rocky outcrops looming up on both sides of the road. Drive to Tso-Moriri via Sumdo. TsoMoriri Lake is also called as white lake because of salt deposit around it. It is approx 45 kms northwest of the Tso -Kar. Sumdo to Tsomoriri is one of the most interesting drives as it goes through sandy deserts & rocky paths. After slowly zigzaging up to the Namshang-La, the drive follows a smooth descent and drive past the isolated Thasang Tso – a small turquoise lake which appears like an emerald of a queen’s necklace. DAY 10: TSOMORIRI –LEH (3506M/280 KMS)
After breakfast drive for 7 hours to Leh via Sumdo and Chuma – Thang (3965M). Enroute stop at Mahe Bridge from where the road crosses to the south bank of the river by a bridge; it then follows the unmettled road through Sumdo village up to join Puga stream. The drive from Sumdo to Mahe follows a narrow mountain gorge through green bushes. Chuma-Thang is known for its famous medicated hot water springs where people from various parts of Ladakh come for relieving their pains. Drive past beautiful villages of Nurnis, Kery and Kadgam. The Jeep drive through this part of the Indus valley is quite flat without much uphill or downhill drive, a wide open village. Relax & retrieve.

DAY 11: SHEY-THIKSEY-HEMIS
Morning visit Hemis Monastery – the largest and wealthiest monastery in Ladakh. At any given time, there are at least a 150 lamas living in it. Hemis is especially renowned for a huge painting of the Buddha, which is displayed to the public once in 11 years. Head westwards to Thiksey monastery, near Leh, are considered to be an architectural wonder. The Shey monastery has a huge gold-plated copper statue of the Buddha. Alchi, Likir and Lamayuru are amongst the oldest gompas of Ladakh; also visit Shey the former summer palace of the King of Ladakh. Return to Leh. Relax & retrieve.

DAY 12: LEH – HUNDER (3048M/ 125 KMS) VIA KHARDUNG LA
Drive to Nubra Valley via Khardung la pass the highest motor able pass in the world (18,300 feet). Part of the road goes over the glacier. On the way you get excellent view of great Karakoram Range. En-route visit Dixit monastery, on arrival check-in at your tents. Relax & retrieve.

DAY 13: HUNDER-PANAMIK (3232M/15 KMS)-LEH (3506M/140KMS)
Morning visit Hunder and Diskit monastery – Hunder is the pretty village set among lots of trees and gurgling streams. Diskit is the sub divisional HQ of Nubra. Diskit gompa is situated at a height of about 200m above the village. On the spur of the rocky mountain and at the most commanding points having clear view of the entire central part of Nubra. Samstanling Gompa is situated on the north facing Diskit Gompa. This gompa is equally important and recreationally it assumes greater importance for being situated at a scenic view point at the foot hill of Karakoram ranges up above Tiger and Summur village, amidst plenty of water and high vegetation. Later on drive to Panamik, crossing Shyok River and driving along the Nubra River. This night you halt at Panamik. This used to be the halting place for traders coming from Central Asia as it was the first village in 20 days trek on the silk route. Traders halted here to have bath in the hot springs for which Panamik is very famous. Drive to Leh, En-route visit SamthanglingGompa of summer. Relax & retrieve.

DAY 14: LEH
Full day sightseeing in Leh visiting Leh bazaar and Shankar Gompa on foot and other monasteries in Leh. Relax & retrieve.

DAY 15: LEH – DELHI (AIR)
Morning departure transfer to the airport in time to board the flight for Delhi. On arrival transfer to hotel. P.M. Combined city tour of New and Old Delhi. Old Delhi and The important places in Old Delhi include the majestic Red Fort, a rickshaw ride through busy and historical Chandni Chowk is some experience; visit the Jama Masjid (the mosque). We continue with the tour and visit Raj Ghat (The place where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated) and Shanti Vana. We make our way towards New Delhi and drive past Rashtrapati Bhawan (Presidents Palace and one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys) visit The India Gate: a memorial rose in honour of the Indian soldiers, Qutab Minar, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of.
