Day 1: ARRIVE DELHI

Arrive Delhi. Upon arrival, our executive will meet you at the airport followed by transfer to your hotel. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 2 : DELHI

Morning tour of New Delhi begins with a visit of the grateful mausoleum of the Moghul Emperor Humayun. Continue to the 13th century Qutub Minar, a dramatic 234 foot high fluted minaret. Proceed along the majestic promenade past the imposing India Gate War memorial , Secretariat Buildings, Parliament House and Raj Bhavan, official residence of the President. Discover Old Delhi this afternoon with a visit of Raj Ghat, the tranquil final resting place of Mahatma Gandhi. Then, view the massive walls and ramparts of the magnificent Red Fort , symbol of Moghul power and elegance. On the 17th century Jama Masjid, India’s largest mosque, the gateway to Chandni Chowk , the busting and colorful market place of the Old city. You will also enjoy a cycle rickshaw ride through Chandni Chowk (the silver street).  Overnight at your hotel.

Day 3: DELHI / MANDAWA (BY ROAD 278 KMS/ 6-7 HRS DRIVE)

Post breakfast drive for Mandawa. Check-into the hotel. Rest of the day is free to explore the various painted havelis and frescoes of the Shekhawati. Often called the open-air gallery of Rajasthan, this region has many frescoes painted on cenotaphs, walls, forts and temples dating back to the 17th century . The themes encompass traditional mythology, local legend and folklore. Overnight at Mandawa.

Day 4: MANDAWA / BIKANER (GAJNER) (BY ROAD 168 KMS/03 HRS DRIVE)

After breakfast, drive for Bikaner and on arrival check-into the hotel. 500 years ago, a desert chieftain established his kingdom here, and over the centuries it has grown into an impressive town., Its central fort offered the occupants safety from invaders, while inside , the rulers designed some beautiful apartments that carried echoes of opulence and in rain starved Bikaner, the images of monsoon clouds. Nearby is Deshnoke, where in a marble fronted temple rats are offered sanctuary for they are considered sacred. After lunch tour of Junagarh fort, which has several exquisite palaces and is carved out of red sandstone . Also visit the Ganga garden jubilee museum. Overnight in Bikaner.

Day 5: BIKANER / JAISALMER (BY ROAD 330 KMS /7 HRS  DRIVE)

Post breakfast, drive for Jaisalmer  and on arrival check-into the hotel. We will explore the interior of western Rajasthan, driving through some of the most inhospitable yet beautiful country. It’s exhilarating driving over the sand dunes, and visiting isolated mud and thatch houses of the tough local tribes of Thar desert, surviving solely on cattle, sheep, camel breeding and carpet weaving. In the evening, drive nearby to Royal Cenotaphs, the cremation ground of the royal family of Jaisalmer, has magnificent red stone carved umbrellas, built in the memory of royal family members. Enjoy breath-taking sunset over the city fort. Overnight in Jaisalmer.

Day 6: JAISALMER

Jaisalmer, once the bustling town with traders traveling to Middle East and beyond and was the Frontier Township of then India. Rich merchants from the city showed off their wealth by constructing magnificent Haveli’s of yellow sand stone having intricate carvings on its walls, balcony and pillars. Visit some of the haveli’s by walk in this medieval town and visit still inhabitant fort. Later in afternoon proceed to Sand dunes, about 30 kms from Jaisalmer, arrive and check into Camps – midst the  Golden sand dunes. At the camp, we have deluxe tented accommodation where every tent has as living room/bedroom and attached toilet facilities. A perfect setting for desert experience  camps in dune are ideal location to unwind in unspoiled desert area. At our camp you can spot the rare bird species such as the Sand Grouse , the famous “bird of the desert” – The Great Indian Bastard. The serene sunset and a short camel ride at the top of the dunes will be thrilling experience. You also get a lifetime experience the starry nights and the gala dinner with torches lanterns and campfire with the local Mangniar singers in attendance. Overnight in Jaisalmer.

Day 7: JAISALMER / KHIMSAR (BY ROAD / 302 KMS/ 08 HRS DRIVE)

Post breakfast drive to Khimsar, On arrival check-into the hotel. Lateron visit Khimsar Fort and if you wish a jeep safari through the villages (optional n extra cost).  Overnight in Khimsar.

Day 8: KHIMSAR / JODHPUR (BY ROAD/90 KMS/ 02 HRS DRIVE)

After breakfast drive for Jodhpur, Arrive and check-into the hotel. Among Rajasthan’s many princely settlements, Jodhpur is one of the most distinctive. This 500 year old settlement was the headquarters of the Rathore Rajput’s celebrations for their tales of valour. Located in the Thar desert, Jodhpur is known for its impressive fortified bastions, especially those of Mehrangarh, which have been witness to many battles and were associated closely with the history of the region. P.M. sightseeing tour including Mehrangarh Fort and Jaswanthada.- richly carved with white marble cenotaph of Maharaj Jaswant Singh II, which preserves the genealogy of the rulers of Jodhpur along with their life size portraits. Overnight in Jodhpur.

Day 9: JODHPUR / UDAIPUR (BY ROAD 250 KMS/ 06 HRS DRIVE)

Post breakfast drive for Udaipur enroute visiting Ranakpur Jain Temples – dating back to the 15th century . Its 29 halls are supported by 1444 pillars noe of, which are similar. The temple abounds with intricate friezes and sculptures. Arrive Udaipur and on arrival check-into the hotel. Overnight in Udaipur.

Day 10: UDAIPUR

Morning city tour visiting City Palace on lake Pichola, nearby you visit the Jagdish temple followed by Sahelion-ki-bari , “the ladies garden” and the beautiful garden surrounding the Pratap Memorail overlooking Fateh Sagar lake and museum of Folk art the Bhartiya Lok Kala Mandir. Evening boat ride in lake Pichola where you visit the Jag Mandir Island with the summer Palace. Overnight in Udaipur.

Day 11: UDAIPUR – PUSHKAR ( BY ROAD 250 KMS/ 05 HRS & 30 MIN DRIVE)

After breakfast drive for Pushkar en-route visiting Eklingji – Chiselled out of sandstone and marble, a complex of 108 temples enclosed by high walls. It was built in 734 AD. The temple is devoted to the family deity of the rulers of Mewar. Later on proceed to Pushkar.  on the edge of the desert lays the tiny town of Pushkar along the bank of Pushkar lake- an important pilgrimage spot for the Hindus. Surrounded by hills on three sides, Pushkar abounds in temples. Of these the most famous is the Brahma Temple –the only temple dedicated to the Lord Brahma in the country. The holy lake has 52 ghats and a pilgrim taking a ritual dip in the lake is a common sight. Every year thousands of devotees throng the lake surround the full moon day of the Kartik Purnima in October – November to take holy dip in the lake. A huge and colourful cattle fair, is also held during this time. Evening explore the Ghats on the lake and visit this colourful town on foot. Overnight in Pushkar

Day 12: PUSHKAR / JAIPUR (BY ROAD 154 KMS/ 03 HRS DRIVE)

After breakfast, drive to Jaipur. Jaipur- the capital city in the time of an autumnal. Sunset, literally blushed pink when Price Albert , the consort of queen Victoria, stepped on its soil in 1833. Interspersing the plan of red and pink were white borders and motifs , painstakingly  outlining the architectural highlights of Jaipur’s buildings. This is the       only city in the world symbolizing the nine divisions of the universe through nine rectangular sectors subdividing it. The palaces and its forts accepted quite naturally into the life styles of the people of the Pink city. Afternoon city tour of Jaipur visit city palace, Palace of winks and the observatory. Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 13: JAIPUR

Morning excursion to Amber Fort, At Amber Fort, climb up the fort on elephant’s back like the Maharajas and visit the Amber Palace of the Kuchchawa rulers. Rest of the day is free to explore the local bazaars on your own. Overnight in Jaipur.

Day 14: JAIPUR /AGRA (BY ROAD 230 KMS/05 HRS & 30 MIN DRIVE)

Morning post breakfast , drive to Agra en-route visiting the Fatehpur Sikri – a deserted city. On arrival in Agra, check-in at your hotel. Agra, in terms of ambience is still associated with the Mughal period. With its laid back life style and its immense wealth of architecture , handicrafts & jewellery , is amongst the most remarkable cities of the world. Afternoon visit the mausoleum built by Shah Jahan for his beloved wife – Empress Mumtaj Mahal – The Taj Mahal. Also visit the fort on the sands of the river Yamuna. Various styles of architecture are evident within the fort. Overnight in Agra.   (TAJMAHAL IS CLOSED ON FRIDAYS)

Day 15: AGRA – DELHI (BY ROAD 203 KMS/ 04 HRS & 30 MIN DRIVE

After leisurely breakfast leave for Delhi and on arrival rest of the time is free for last minute shopping. Evening farewell dinner and transfer to the airport to board flight back home.
