Day 1: ARRIVE JAIPUR

Upon arrival you will be welcomed by our representative and transfer to hotel. Couple of hours to relax followed by tour of city of astonishing history. We visit Old Delhi and the important places in Old Delhi include the majestic Red Fort, a rickshaw ride through busy and historical Chandni Chowk is some experience; visit the Jama Masjid (the mosque). We continue with the tour and visit Raj Ghat (The place where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated) and Shanti Vana. We make our way towards New Delhi and drive past Rashtrapati Bhawan (Presidents Palace and one-time imperial residence of the British viceroys) visit The India Gate: a memorial raised in honor of the Indian soldiers, Qutab Minar, built by Qutub-ud-din Aibek of the Slave Dynasty and Humayuns Tomb, The Laxminarayan Temple, built by the Birlas (Leading industrial house in India) We return to hotel to relax and spend the night.

Day 2 : DELHI – SAMODE (265 KMS/5.5 HRS)

Early morning proceed to Samode. A fairy tale like village is an equally charming palace as your place of stay famous for its Palces, Havelis and Bagh. Afternoon is free to explore the surroundings at your own. Evening enjoy traditional Rajasthan folk dance. Overnight at your hotel.

Day 3: SAMODE – NAWALGARH

Morning visit havelies and lateron drive for Nawalgarh: The heart of Shekhawati. Nawalgarh –Thakur Naval Singh in 1737 founded this town. This town heaves some of the finest mural in the Shekhawati region. The town has a colourful bazar and a fort, new a little disfigured, yet worth of attention, there are numerous havelis; prominent among them are the Aath (eight) Haveli complex, Anaadilal Poddar haveli, Jodhraj Patodia haveli, Bansidhar Bhagat Haveli, Chokhani heavily and Hotel Roop Niwas Palace. Day 4: NAWALGARH – MANDAWA (37 KMS, 45 MINUTES)

Morning free to explore the surroundings and then drive to Mandawa: Founded in the mid 18th Century, Mandawa’s skyline today is dominated by an imposing mirage like fort now turned into a hotel. A painted archway decorated with Lord Krishna and his cowherds leads to the bazaar. Afternoon visit Mandawa Besides the cenotaphs, wells, forts and temples the majority of frescoes are painted on the walls and gateways of havelis. The Shekhawati paintings mainly consist of red, green, yellow, brown, blue and mushroom colours.

Day 5: MANDAWA – BIKANER (190 KMS/4 HRS

Morning drive for Bikaner and check-in at your hotel. Bikaner is 500-year-old town standing still in time. The rulers here built beautiful forts that echo of opulence and images of monsoon clouds in this dry land. The wealth of its architectural heritage lies in its forts, palaces and temples– magnificent creations in red and yellow sandstone are living. Day 6: BIKANER – JAISALMER (340 KMS/7 HRS)

Morning drive to Jaisalmer and on arrival check-in at your hotel. Jaisalmer –In the desolate beauty of the desert, Jaisalmer stands tall the proud welcoming visitors to a glamour world of fable, colour and history. Founded by Maharaja Rawal Jaisal in 1156 A.D, Jaisalmer abounds with its oppressive golden yellow sandstone Jaisalmer fort. From the colourful shops to the palaces and the old temples in the spectacular fort, the entire town of Jaisalmer glows in the bright golden colour. Centuries ago its strategic position on the camel trade route between India and Central Asia brought wealth to Jaisalmer. Over the centuries, the merchants and local people constructed beautiful houses and mansions, all elegantly carved from golden yellow sandstone. Apart from these, the camel safaris around the Jaisalmer town take you to the historic places and villages inhabited by sheep and camel herders. Day 7: JAISALMER

Morning city tour of Jaisalmer. Jaisalmer Fort –This fort is ornamented at 80 mt high Trikuta hill, about a quarter of the old town’s population resides within the fort walls. Jain temples, havelis, pleasure pavilions and royal cenotaphs combine with the magnamonous architecture of the fort. The intricately carved trellises, doorways, wall niches, steps and staircases are a testimony to the expertise of the stone carvers of the region. From the fort walls you can have a very fine view of the old city and surrounding areas. Famous Movie maker Late Satyajeet Ray wrote a detective novel and later made a movie with the name Sonar Kellar. As you move out of the fort, a short walk takes you to the narrow lanes dotted with a number of beautiful havelis (mansions) built by wealthy merchants of Jaisalmer. Patwon ki Haveli, Salim Singh ki Haveli and Natmhal ki Haveli are prominent havelis of the town. Afternoon is free to explore the town and indulge in shopping- Overnight at your hotel.

Day 8: JAISALMER

No trip to Jaisalmer is complete with out a visit to the most picturesque dunes. This day you will visit Sam Sand dunes. If you want to experience the rich traditions of Rajasthan, then must visit the Sam Sand Dunes, just 25 kms away from the town of Jaisalmer. Here you will get a deep insight into desert life and its hidden surprises. Beside, a ride on the camel back will provide you once in a lifetime experience. The ripples on the wind-caressed dunes create enchanting mirages. Adventure freaks can go out on a Camel Safari – getting the real feel of the desert on the camel back. Overnight at hotel.

Day 9: JAISALMER – JODHPUR (305 KMS/6.5 HRS)

Morning drive for Jodhpur enroute visiting the countryside and on arrival check-in at your hotel.
Jodhpur: 2nd largest city of Rajasthan is situated on the edge of Thar Desert. Suryavanshi Rao Jodha founded this city in 1459 AD, once being the capital of Marwar. With number of palaces, temples and other architectural monuments which add to its glory. The old city is encircled by a 10 km long wall. This wall separates the old city with new one. The new city is grown round this magnificent Mehrangarh fort. The statuesque sandstone palace Umaid Bhawan is being on the East and Mehrangarh Fort on the West providing a shield from the deserts with its eight gates facing different directions. The resplendent and exquisite monuments, temples and gardens of the city are a reminder of the past and depict a multi-faceted grandeur. Day 10: JODHPUR – GHANERAO (175 KMS/3.5 HRS)

Day 11: GHANERAO – RANAKPUR (115 KMS/2.5HRS)

Ghanerao is a magical, chic shadow of its lavish former self: an insight into the lot of the modern Indian prince. Its architecture is picturesque, calm and dignified. Its brilliant location in a remote, unspoiled corner of Rajasthan  make it a great place to stay particularly for outings to Kumbhalgarh Fort, Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary and the Jain temples of Ranakpur. It is notable here in Ghanerao the temple of Gajanand with a life-size statue of the goddesses Ridhi and Siddhi a lace to visit. Lateron take an excursion to Kumbhalgarh Fort. Named after the ruler of Mewar, Rana Kumbha, Kumbhalgarh is an imposing fortress built in the 15th century. Positioned strategically in relation to its neighbours of Gujarat and Marwar, the fort was also known as the eye of Mewar. The fort is encompassed by a 36 km long wall, which is claimed to be the longest in the world after “The Great Wall of China”. The architecture of the fort is in accordance with the ancient Hindu treatise, Vastu Shastra. Day 12: RANAKPUR – UDAIPUR (98 KMS/2 HRS)

Morning tour of Ranakpur Temples- The beautifully sculptured Jain temples lie in a tranquil valley of the Aravallis. The main ‘Chaumukha Temple’ is dedicated to the tirthankara Adinath and has 29 halls supported by 1444 pillars, all distinctly carved. Two Jain temples dedicated to Neminath and Parsvanath & a Sun Temple a little distance away are also noteworthy. Day 13 : UDAIPUR – DEOGARH (140 KMS/2.5 HRS)

Morning guided city tour of Udaipur covering, City Palace, Lake Pichola, Pratap Smarak. Afternoon proceed for Deogarh and on arrival check into Deogarh Mahal: A castle of Medieval Rajasthan. You can also enjoy of your choice Trekking in the hills or Walk in the village or Local tribal warrior dance or Performance by folk musicians and artists. Overnight at hotel.

Day 14 : DEOGARH – JAIPUR (280 KMS/5.5 HRS)

Morning drive to Jaipur on arrival check into hotel. Jaipur once had been the capital of sovereignty is the state capital of Rajasthan. It was the first planned city of India. The very structure of Jaipur resembles the taste of the Rajputs and the Royal family. In the present date, city has grown as the major business centre for the natives of Rajasthan with all requisites of a metropolitan city. The city is painted in pink grasp the appreciation of every visitor. One can see that ancient charm still alive in the avenues. This city is world famous for the gems, jewellary and blue pottery and handicrafts. Overnight at hotel.

Day 15: JAIPUR

This morning excursion to Amber Fort, located just outside the city, this is among the most beautiful example of Rajasthani forts and gives a majestic view of the city down below. You can have the Royal experience of traveling on elephant back to and from the top of the hill on which the fort is situated. Continue the city tour and visit City Palace in the heart of Jaipur is known for its blend of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Very close to this is the Central Museum with its huge collection of jewellery, colorful costumes, woodwork, jewellery, costumes, brassware, and pottery. We would also see Jantar Mantar, which is the largest of the five observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh. The Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds, Also explore colorful lanes of Pink city. Jaipur is world famous for it’s textile, jewellery, gems etc.Overnight at hotel.

Day 16 :JAIPUR – AGRA (250 KMS/5HRS)

Mornig drive to Agra en-route Fatehpur Sikri, the beautiful capital built in 1640 by the Mughal King, Akbar the Great. The city was later abandoned for lack of water. A superb example of Mughal architecture, it stands perfectly preserved in the desert. We also visit the artistically designed spectacular of Salim Chisty who is reputed to have prayed for a son for Akbar leading to the birth of Salim Jehangir, the builder of the Taj. On arrival in Agra, check-in at your hotel.

Day 17 : AGRA – DELHI- HOME-TOWN (204 KMS/5 HRS) / AIR

City tour of Agra visiting The Taj Mahal, which is entirely made of white marble and its walls are decorated with exquisite pietra dura (stone inlay) work. Taj Mahal is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men labored for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan’s beloved wife. Also visit imposing Agra Fort – built of red sandstone and marble is a hilltop citadel with fabulous courtyards. Later proceed to Delhi, dinner and transfer to airport to board flight back home.
